Hospital’s data protection: not where it should be!

There is an increase in the number of notifications that hospitals have to make about their data leaks, according to new figures from the Personal Data Authority. In the first quarter of 2017, it has been 161 times already. This is twice as many as in the first quarter of 2016!

It has been no secret that hospital are not as well protected as they should be. A research by  the Women in Cybersecurity network showed that 97 hospitals have unsecured video connections and easy access to medical data. This research shows that hospitals are still lacking in the security of private data department.
