Melanie Rieback has won the annual TIM award for the most innovative technology leader in the Netherlands. The co-founder and CEO of Radically Open Security (ROS) won the award for her efforts to enforce the online security world to act more transparent.
Picnic and Triple won prizes in the categories most innovative business and IT vendor. Innovation Lab Thialf was the winning ecosystem and Pacmed claimed the first “Timmie” in the category New Kids.
Radically Open Security is the first nonprofit computer security consulting company in the world. The judges were unanimous in their praise: “Melanie Rieback gives a new and unique perspective. She has made an effort to increase transparency and to create a clear long term agenda, which can ultimately benefit the entire sector. “
About the TIM awards
The Innovation Awards Manager (abbreviated as TIM or Timmies Awards) are an ICT Media Initiative and CIO Magazine, intended to reward innovative projects and encourage both suppliers and customers in the area of IT. The awards are presented each year during the CIO Dinner show at the Orangerie in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Roughly 200 IT managers and executives of leading Dutch and international IT vendors were this year for the eighth time to witness the ceremony.
